Who are we?
We are a team of thirteen motivated high school girls from Larchmont Charter school. Larchmont Charter is small school of about 100 students per grade, located in central Koreatown. Due to our small size, we have a lack of resources and space but because of our central location, many of our students make use of the multitude of opportunities provided by Los Angeles. We now want to give back to the community that has given us so much for so long.
We have created a project plan that focuses on civic engagement. We plan to partner with multiple organizations around our school to create care packages for the homeless, increase voter registration among all ages, and more. Our diverse group of girls is also very beneficial in that we can reach a larger group of people, especially those who speak another language. This project will not only be beneficial for the community, which constantly seeks more involvement from our generation, but also for us personally. We get to learn more about the people within our community and aid those who need a helping hand in addition to galvanizing those around us to take action.

"The mission of Larchmont Charter School is to provide a socio-economically, culturally and racially diverse community of students with an exceptional public education. We foster creativity and academic excellence; our students learn with and from each other in an experience-centered, inquiry-based learning environment. With participation from our entire community, we strive to instill in each student a dedication to improving the world we inhabit."
